Tilapia Meunière
5 ingreedz* recipe alert 🚨 Tilapia, lemons, butter, flour, and parsley and BOOM: Tilapia Muenière. This humble French dish is really easy to cook. Serve it on top of anything, so the buttery lemony sauce coats everything on the plate (in this case, I roasted broccolini).
*not counting kosher salt and pepper because yo ass should have that already!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 tilapia filets (about 8 ounces each)
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 large lemon (zested and juiced)
1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Steps:
Place flour, 2 teaspoons salt, and 1 teaspoon pepper in dredging plate.
Pat the tilapia filets dry with paper towels. Dredge fillets in the seasoned flour on both sides.
Heat butter in a large saute pan over medium-high heat until it starts to brown. and place filets in the hot butter.
Lower the heat to medium and cook for 2 1/2 minutes. Turn carefully with a spatula and cook for another 2 minutes on the other side. While the second side cooks, add lemon zest, lemon juice, and parsley to the pan.
Plate the filets on top of veggies, mashed potatoes, or just eat it by itself, and pour the pan sauce all over everything!
